Victor
Barry has been a professional family dairy & mixed
farmer since leaving Newton Rigg Agricultural College,
Penrith in 1952. His whole life has been spent in agriculture,
dairying and training students until arriving in Cornwall
in 1967 from then on visitors have always been a part
of the farm scene for him. His arrival in the Roseland
in January 1994 signalled the start of pursuing his
passion for sailing.
Having
seen the beauty and opportunity of the old ‘Time Warp'
awaiting them at Treloan Farm, Victor, Luisa and Patricia
decided to wait for 3 years, temporarily living in a
chalet, until finally being rewarded by being granted
the tenancy by Lord Falmouth, Tregothnan Estate in February
1998. They immediately began to put the farming clock
back for the 30's and 40's on this “Nature's Way” farm
and are now ready to start taking students again, working
with the “Duchy College”, Stoke Climesland in offering
NVQ courses in Working Horses, Small Holding and affiliated
subjects.
