Roseland Peninsula Beaches

The Roseland Peninsula's beaches are quiet, plentiful and hidden because the area is comparatively little known. It's not unusual to have a cove all to oneself.

From the campsite a path leads down to the coastpath and to the three nearest sheltered coves.

Peter's Splosh

has small boat access and is excellent for those who love the beach, swimming, rock pools and fishing.

Treloan Cove and Pencabe

are mainly sand and particularly fine swimming and diving areas with good fishing points.

Portscatho - Tathams beach

small pebbly and sandy beach next to Portscatho harvour - ideal for those that wish to stay close to the village, its shops and pub.  Dogs not permitted between Easter and October 1.

Porthcurnick

A National Trust owned sandy beach with car park, café and toilet facilities a ten minute walk along the coastpath and through fields from the village and down steps. There is slipway access onto this beach from the hamlet of Rosevine or you may park in the large car park and walk down the steps to the beach. Gets the late sun.

Carne and Pendower beaches

Beautiful wide sandy beaches with low soft cliffs and rock pools - connected at low tide.  car park and hotel on the beach that serves lunch, drinks and teas. Dogs are allowed at all times.

Towan

A long strip of sand with wonderful rock pools exposed at low tide, has relatively flat access, toilets and car park, all run by the national Trust.

Porthbeor

A golden, sandy beach accessible from the campsite via the coastpath, or from its carpark by walking through an arable field and down some steps.

Tavern and Summers

two beachers either side of St Mawes harbour excellent for swimming and sunbathing

Portholland

small cove with rock pools

Caerhays

over 200 metres of sandy beach sheltered by verdant cliffs
